GYK-92 SY is a 380 V control unit in the r-tec industrial range. The guide also includes the GYM100S-2 motor table; it does not establish the contents of every sales package. Its page 1 image shows a display, LEARN / ENTER / FWD / REV keys, direction and STOP buttons, and a separate mushroom emergency-stop button.
Control surface
- Digital display — shows parameters and status directly; limits are taught from the screen with the LEARN key.
- FWD / REV keys — jog the door in a controlled way during commissioning; ENTER confirms parameters.
- On-body direction and STOP buttons — no external push-button station is required for daily use; a wired button input can still be connected if preferred.
- Emergency stop (mushroom button) — visible in the enclosure image on PDF page 1. The board drawing on page 4 also labels an emergency-stop terminal. Test the connection and behaviour on the installed system.
Motor documented in the guide: GYM100S-2
The GYM100S-2 motor table on PDF page 2 gives 450 W, 100 N.m, 24 rpm, a 25.4 mm shaft bore, a 20-turn shaft-output limit and a 120 °C thermal-protection figure. Its IP54 and -20/+50 °C values belong to the motor; they do not establish a separate control-enclosure rating.
The duty cycle is S2 20% (at 10 min continuous operation). For high-cycle projects — logistics dock doors that open very frequently through the day — we recommend confirming the cycle requirement together with your dealer.
Installation notes
- Motor and encoder cables run separately; the wire colour scheme (U/V/W/PE and GND/B/A/VCC/COM/OH) is tabulated in the technical document.
- Waterproof terminals are shown in the motor wiring drawing. Do not infer the control enclosure’s environmental rating from the motor-table IP54 entry.
- Chain-operated manual override — moves the door via the chain mechanism on the motor during a power cut.

Model notes
GYK-92 SY is recommended by our dealers once the site dimensions have been provided. For standard industrial sectional door control, other units in the portfolio such as the 220-K or I-380 can also be considered; the right match depends on door size and usage frequency.

The duty cycle is given as S2 20 percent, so what does that mean in practice?
The GYM100S-2 technical table states the duty designation as 'S2 20% (at 10 min continuous operation)'. This label alone does not establish a limit of two minutes of motion or four complete door cycles in every ten minutes. Verify suitability against the door dimensions, load, actual cycle time and motor thermal conditions using the manufacturer's duty data with your dealer.

What does the manual’s 20-turn shaft limit mean?
The GYM100S-2 motor table gives a maximum limit travel of 20 turns at the shaft output. This motor entry does not establish the GYK-92 SY board’s universal encoder-counting capacity or prove that limit learning must fail beyond 20 turns. Verify the door height, drum, transmission, motor and control revision together. The 25.4 mm shaft bore also belongs to that motor table; check mounting compatibility against the selected door drawing.
