Scope and default behaviour
This policy explains cookies, browser local storage (localStorage), pixels and similar technologies used on alkur.com.tr. Non-essential technologies are off on your first visit; Google Analytics and Meta Pixel are not loaded before you make a choice.
The cookie panel places Reject All and Optional on the upper row and presents Accept at full width on the lower row. Accept enables both analytics and marketing; Reject All continues with necessary technologies only; Optional opens the category-selection screen. On that screen, the analytics and marketing categories can be switched on or off independently. Necessary technologies cannot be disabled because they are used to remember your choice and provide Site functions that you expressly request.
Categories
- Necessary and functional: Used for security, remembering your cookie choice and keeping your theme, text-size preference and quotation list on your device, or otherwise providing a Site function that you expressly request.
- Analytics: Measures Site use and performance through Google Analytics. It operates only when you separately consent to the analytics category.
- Marketing: Measures advertising and campaign performance through Meta Pixel. It operates only when you separately consent to the marketing category.
Cookies and local-storage technologies used
| Technology / provider | Category and purpose | When is it used? | Retention period |
|---|---|---|---|
alkur-cookie-consent / Alkur localStorage | Necessary: remembers the policy version, choice time and category preferences | When you first make a cookie choice | 180 days; you are then asked to choose again |
theme / Alkur localStorage | Functional: remembers the light or dark theme preference | When you select a theme | Until you return to the system setting or clear browser data |
alkur-text-size / Alkur localStorage | Functional: remembers the text size you selected | When you change the text size | Until you return to the default size or clear browser data |
alkur-quote-list / Alkur localStorage | Functional: keeps the products, quantities and unit preferences that you add to the quotation list on your device; it contains no identity information | When you add a product to the quotation list | Until you clear the list or browser data |
_ga, _ga_<id> / Google Analytics | Analytics: helps distinguish visits and sessions | Only after analytics consent | 2 years in Google’s default configuration; configuration or the browser may limit it sooner |
_fbp, and _fbc where its conditions of use arise / Meta Pixel | Marketing: assists advertising and campaign measurement | Only after marketing consent | Depends on Meta’s current configuration, the browser and provider policy; no unverified fixed duration is stated |
Browser privacy settings or provider configuration may shorten the periods above.
Security technologies
To prevent bots and spam on contact and measurement forms, Cloudflare Turnstile is loaded only when the form’s identity/verification step is active. Turnstile may send IP address, browser and device signals to Cloudflare for security; it is not used for advertising or marketing measurement. Cloudflare’s cf_clearance storage may arise only if provider-side pre-clearance is enabled; that configuration and its duration are subject to provider settings.
The Site also sends limited technical error data to the same-origin /api/report.php endpoint to detect CSP and JavaScript errors. This processing does not place an identification cookie in the browser; it uses limited, rotating security logs.
Third-party content loaded by the user
Google Maps content is loaded only after you press “Load map”, and the YouTube player only after you press the play control. No map or video request is sent to the relevant provider before that action. After loading, the provider may process IP address, browser/device and page information; the provider’s own privacy and storage terms apply.
When you press a link to WhatsApp, social media or another external platform, you open the relevant site directly. Those platforms’ cookies and personal-data processing practices are subject to their own policies.
Managing preferences and withdrawing consent
You can reopen the panel at any time through Cookie Preferences in the footer, change analytics and marketing consents independently, or reject all non-essential technologies. You are asked to choose again 180 days after your selection or when the policy version changes.
When you withdraw consent, the relevant scripts are not run on the next load, and the Site attempts to delete accessible first-party analytics/marketing cookies. You may separately delete data on the browser or provider domain through your browser settings. Rejecting non-essential technologies does not prevent core Site functions; it stops analytics and marketing measurement.
Legal ground and transfers abroad
Analytics and marketing technologies rely on your separate explicit consents under Article 5(1) of the KVKK. Form security and error telemetry rely on Alkur’s legitimate interest in protecting its information systems under Article 5(2)(f) of the KVKK, provided that fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed.
Google, Meta, Cloudflare and external-content providers loaded by the user may process data abroad. Potential transfers abroad are subject to the regime in Article 9 of the KVKK; see the KVKK Privacy Notice for details.

This policy is updated when the technologies used or legal requirements change. The current version and last-updated date are published on this page.
