How we work
Our position as a manufacturer also sets the division of work on site.
-
B2B channel
Sales, installation, warranty and service run through our authorised dealers and corporate customers. End users are supported by the dealer or contractor they bought from.
-
Made to measure
Doors and loading equipment go into production against the dimensions and customisation of each order. Spare parts and some r-tec motors and control boards are held in stock for immediate despatch.
-
Who measures
Measurement and structural assessment are the job of the authorised technical team running the project. Alkur does not provide site visits or on-site surveys; sending the clear opening dimensions is enough for an accurate quotation.
-
Who installs
Installation and commissioning are carried out by trained installation teams. Spring balance, cable winding and limit setting follow the procedure in the manual.
The order process
The steps from enquiry to despatch, and what each one needs.
- 1
Dimensions and requirement
Product type, opening dimensions, quantity, place of use, the automation and accessory set wanted, project location and delivery timing are shared.
- 2
Quotation
Once dimensions and usage profile are settled, the quotation is prepared through the dealer or project channel. We do not publish price lists; quotations are project-specific.
- 3
Size confirmation
Before production, the measurement is verified in writing on the size confirmation form for the lift type. On dock levellers the pit detail takes the place of the form.
- 4
Production and despatch
Production time varies with model and seasonal load; a written lead time is given to our dealers at order confirmation. Special colours, panel classes, dimensions and export packing affect it.
Scope of technical support
Our manufacturer support takes over where the authorised technician cannot resolve the issue.
In scope
- Cases requiring engineering analysis or factory approval
- Replacement of a set manufactured to special dimensions
- Repairs and conformity requests under warranty
- Part compatibility and commissioning questions
Out of scope
- On-site service and on-site surveys
- Fault requests direct from end users
- Periodic maintenance service
Our technical service works only on products sent to it. When raising a request through the dealer or corporate customer channel, sharing the fault history, a photograph of the rating label and any error code shortens the time to resolution.
