Overview
Within r-tec’s 24 V DC family, HATTI 1200 HS is the model that pairs the highest capacity with high-speed performance. Its 1,000 kg door-weight class sits well above the 500-600 kg limit typical of the 24 V series, so the motor is built for busy entrances where hundreds of open-close cycles turn over each day. The HS at the end of the name points to the speed difference: standard 24 V motors run in the 12-15 cm/s band, while HATTI 1200 HS reaches the 17-20 cm/s class.

What does High-Speed (HS) mean?
Standard 24 V DC sliding motors offer 12-15 cm/s movement speed; this is sufficient for residential gardens but at plaza/estate main entrances during peak hours queues form. The HS version:
- 17-20 cm/s movement speed with a stronger motor winding + drive electronics.
- The same door opens in 8-12 seconds instead of 15-20 seconds at a 4-5 m opening.
- Creates a visible flow difference in peak-hour traffic.

- Battery capacity — The HS motor draws more current than standard 24 V; a battery of 12 Ah + higher is recommended (a 7 Ah only tolerates 15-20 cycles during a power outage).
- Rail and wheel quality — The combination of high speed + heavy door + heavy cycle creates rail wear; steel wheels + stainless bearings are mandatory.
- Photocell + safety — Trapping risk increases at high speed; two photocell channels (opening + closing) must be connected mandatorily.
- Thermal protection calibration — In heavy cycles the motor runs continuously; the heating margin should be checked in site trial.
- Periodic maintenance — Every 6 months (every 12 months on standard motors) rail + wheel + reducer check.
- Check the cross-section and protection device suitability in the battery and power supply wiring.
Model notes
The G24 control board is mandatory on 24 V DC models. The HS version draws more current than standard 24 V motors — the G24 version must be HS-compatible (dealer configuration confirms). The site maintenance period should be planned more frequently for heavy use.

What does High-Speed mode achieve and where is it needed?
HATTI 1200 HS is the model set aside for high speed in the 24 V DC range and is used on leaves up to the 1 000 kg class. The gain is in passage time: on factory and logistics entrances where vehicles queue, the opening time turns directly into waiting time. Where a standard-speed motor takes about 38 seconds to open a 6 m opening, the high-speed range shortens that noticeably. As speed rises so do acceleration and braking loads, so the track, rollers and leaf structure must suit that duty.

What does more than 100 cycles a day mean?
The figure shows the usage intensity the motor is designed for: 100 or more open-close cycles a day, which is the typical load of an entrance at a facility running shifts. Cycle count governs selection as much as speed does, because every cycle generates heat in the motor, and if the thermal headroom is used up under heavy use, the thermal protection trips and stops the gate. It is sound practice to count the daily vehicle movements at your entrance and assess them with a factor of two; cycles cluster at peak hours and the average is misleading.
