Overview
SL 1000 fills the middle of the SL line — the 1,000 kg class compact motor in the r-tec sliding portfolio. It is essentially a stronger SL 500: the same compact design, but a higher-powered motor. It sits as the cost alternative to KING 1000 at residential estates, plaza car park entrances and medium-level villa complex vehicle entrances.
SL 1000 vs KING 1000 — segment selection
| SL 1000 | KING 1000 | |
|---|---|---|
| Max. door weight | 1,000 kg | 1,000 kg |
| Body | Compact SL series | Standard KING series |
| Market segment | Compact medium | Premium medium |
| Site flexibility | Narrow space friendly | Wide connection options |
→ Same door weight class; SL 1000 in cost-priority projects, KING 1000 when long life / premium project feel is priority.
SL 500 vs SL 1000
| SL 500 | SL 1000 | |
|---|---|---|
| Max. door weight | 500 kg | 1,000 kg |
| Design | Same compact body | Same + stronger motor |
| Residential / villa | Optimal | Limit + large villa |
| Plaza / office | Insufficient | Standard |
Target projects
- Residential estate vehicle entrance (1-3 family) — 30-60 daily open-close cycles
- Plaza car park vehicle lanes (side/backup entrance)
- Medium-level villa complex main entrance (1,000 kg class door)
- Office campus additional entrance gates
Field discipline
- In revisions where the door weight changes, re-verify the brake adjustment. When panels are added/changed to the door after the site, the T1 (motor power) + T2 (brake) trimpots must be recalibrated.
- Because of the same compact body as SL 500, the correct seating of the gear cover is critical; a loose cover causes dusting that shortens the reducer life.
- Rail parallelism — Heavy doors carry the risk of rail bending; 5 mm+ thick steel rails + solid ground connection.
- Limit switch buffer of 5-10 cm is recommended.
Model notes
In revisions where the door weight changes, re-verify the brake adjustment. For doors exceeding the 1,000 kg class, KING 2000 (750 W) or a larger model should be evaluated.

Frequently Asked Questions
Below we've compiled the most common questions and answers regarding this product.
-
SL 1000 and KING 1000 have the same capacity, so what separates them?
Both models meet the 1 000 kg class on a 230 V single-phase supply; the difference is the body family and the mounting footprint. The compact SL body suits entrances where the space allocated to the motor is tight, while the KING body sits on a wider base plate. With capacity equal, the choice follows the mounting position, the existing concrete plinth dimensions and service access. Even at the same capacity class, accessory and control board compatibility should be confirmed separately.
