AC charging selection starts with the vehicle’s accepted power and available electrical infrastructure. Use this guide to choose between WCU-22 Wallbox and WCU-11 Portable against model documents and record the quoted configuration. r-tec EV charging portfolio
Decision sequence for an EV charger
- Check the vehicle’s AC charging capacity and Type 2 connection. The unit’s maximum output does not guarantee the vehicle accepts that power.
- Decide between a permanent charging point and portability between suitable supplies.
- The dealer’s technical team verifies phases, supply and ordered plug/adapter variant. A single-phase input entry does not establish the three-phase maximum output.
- Qualified electrical personnel design external residual-current protection, earthing and the installation. Device protections do not replace panel protection.
- Establish point count, total load and management needs. Unverified OCPP, RFID or communication features are not assumed included.
- Record model, options, supply and open confirmations; the dealer’s technical team completes installation and handover checks.
The fixed point: WCU-22 Wallbox
According to its manual, the WCU-22 is a fixed wall-mounted AC charger rated up to 22 kW at 400 V three-phase and 32 A. It has a Type 2 vehicle connection and IP54 enclosure. There is no internal residual-current protection; an external 30 mA RCD is required in the supply panel. How long a vehicle takes to charge depends on its onboard AC charger and battery state; 22 kW alone does not establish a full-charge time.
A fixed installation requires a site-specific design for the supply circuit, protection and mounting location.
The flexible answer: WCU-11 Portable
The WCU-11 is a portable AC unit. Its manual’s specification table lists up to 11 kW at 400 V three-phase input and 16 A output. It also lists 220 V single-phase input without stating a separate charging-power value. The vehicle side has a 5 m Type 2 cable. The manual does not confirm 3.7 kW from Schuko, a blue CEE plug or automatic socket-type recognition. Confirm the ordered plug or adapter variant and the intended supply point. There is no internal RCD; an external 30 mA device is required in the panel.
Managing multiple charging points
Plan the site’s electrical load and operating requirements separately when several points are proposed. The local manuals for these two products do not document OCPP support; the WCU-22 manual lists some communication methods as optional. If platform connectivity or remote management is required, obtain manufacturer confirmation for the exact model and ordered configuration.

WCU-22 / WCU-11 decision table
| Decision field | WCU-22 Wallbox | WCU-11 Portable |
|---|---|---|
| Use | Permanent point | Portable operation |
| Maximum AC rating | 400 V three phase / 32 A / 22 kW | 400 V three phase / 16 A / 11 kW |
| Vehicle connection | Type 2 | 5 m Type 2 cable |
| External protection | 30 mA at panel; no built-in RCD | 30 mA at panel; no built-in RCD |
| Management | Some communication is optional; verify the order | OCPP/platform support is not established |
The output records vehicle AC capacity, point count, model, supply/adapter, external protection and included communication options. The dealer submits open features for manufacturer assessment. Alkur does not perform electrical site surveys or end-user installation.

Claim supported: PDF pp.6/8: WCU11 maximum 11 kW, 400 V three-phase/16 A, 5 m Type 2 cable, IP54 and external 30 mA protection. The 22 kW heading on p.9 conflicts; it does not establish cable/breaker sizing or single-phase 11 kW.
