Overview
r-tec automatic door systems are mechatronic systems that provide automatic open-close at high pedestrian entrances such as shopping centres, hospitals, office lobbies, banks, hotels and airports. They are adapted to different site scenarios with three chassis options (standard, telescopic, hermetic) and four door types (double-leaf sliding, single-leaf sliding, telescopic, revolving). In all products, a single control unit — R2 — is used; our dealers manage the same spare-parts stock even when the door types differ.

Chassis options
Standard chassis — Used in single-leaf or double-leaf sliding applications. Common in standard pedestrian transits such as office lobbies, shopping centre entrance doors, bank branches.
Telescopic chassis — Provides wider net transit opening with 4 door panels hidden behind each other. Preferred at entrances with limited wall distance, where a wide opening requirement exists.
Hermetic chassis — For applications where ventilation leakage is not acceptable such as hospital operating rooms, clean rooms, laboratories and food production facilities. Full sealing with side and top seals + EN class insulation. The highest engineering segment in the automatic door portfolio.
Four door types
| Type | Max. leaf weight | Opening speed | Typical application |
|---|---|---|---|
| Double-leaf sliding | 120 + 120 kg | 180 cm/s | Shopping centre, hospital, office main entrance |
| Single-leaf sliding | 150 kg | 90 cm/s | Bank branch, small shop, personal entrance |
| Telescopic (4-leaf) | 4 × 60 kg | 180 cm/s | Narrow wall, wide transit required |
| Revolving | (Per model) | (Per model) | Hotel lobby, premium commercial entrance |
R2 control unit
R2 is a dedicated control board designed only for automatic door applications. It takes 230 VAC mains voltage and drives the door motor with a 24 VDC output. Highlight features:
- 23 parameters — Opening/closing deceleration distance, hold-open time, operating speed, closing-speed ratio, opening ramp, partial opening percentage, brake force, etc. Fine adjustment for every site condition.
- 12 fault codes — o1–o9, 10, 11, St — Reports motor thermal, switch, encoder, photocell, current protection, system reset and other fault conditions with separate codes.
- 5 operation modes — Selector switch transitions:
- Hold open — Door continuously open, for keeping the entrance fully open at night.
- Partial opening — Only 40-60% opening to limit air circulation (air-conditioned environments).
- One-way — Only inward/outward, single-direction safety strip permission.
- Automatic (standard) — Normal operation triggered by photocell/sensor.
- Hold closed — Door continuously closed, after-hours lock mode.
Speed and safety
The opening speed of 90 cm/s for single-leaf and 180 cm/s for double-leaf is at the top of its class. The closing speed is 70% of the opening speed — this reduces the risk of trapping and ensures compliance with the EN 60335-2-103 safety standard. The hold-open time can be adjusted between 1 and 60 seconds (for busy / quiet hour scenarios).
Certification and conformity
TÜV AUSTRIA CE Certificate of Conformity 16-PS-0009-TAT-21-MAD-2479 — under the scope of Machinery Safety Directive (2006/42/EC) + LVD (2014/35/EU) + EMC (2014/30/EU). Compliant with EN ISO 12100, EN 61000-6-1/6-3, EN 60335-2-103 standards. Please contact our dealers for the current certificate status.
Domestic Product Certificate 20221188100201 — issued by Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SATSO), approved by T.C. Ministry of Industry and Technology. 100% domestic contribution rate — all production, including motor, control board, mechanical components and electronic parts, is carried out at our Hendek/Sakarya facility. Qualifies for domestic-product priority in public tenders (Public Procurement Law No. 4734). Please contact our dealers for the current certificate.
Turkey’s domestic automatic door production began with Alkur in 1993. 30+ years of production experience and the 100% domestic production rate make r-tec automatic doors a preferred choice in public and private sector projects.
Target projects
- Shopping centre and plaza main entrance doors
- Hospital emergency service and operating room (hermetic chassis)
- Bank branch, currency exchange office, jeweller (secured pedestrian access)
- Hotel lobby and restaurant main entrance (revolving door)
- Airport terminal pedestrian transits
- Office towers and plaza lobby
- Pharmacy, market and retail store entrance doors
Service and spare parts
The 20 different spare parts stock of the R2 control board + 24 V DC motor + 4 door type chassis is within the scope of Alkur service. Our dealer service network can reach the site within 24 hours; a periodic maintenance contract is recommended for heavy-use applications (airport, shopping centre).
Frequently Asked Questions
Below we've compiled the most common questions and answers regarding this product.
What do the error codes (o2, o5, o8, 10, etc.) on the R2 automatic door display mean?
The codes point to the source of the fault: o1 jammed while opening, o2 jammed while closing, o3 overcurrent protection, o4 button fault, o5 radar fault (often the radar sensitivity set too high), o6 mechanical jam, o7 battery voltage low, o8 photocell fault (sensors not seeing each other or a damaged cable), o9 mains voltage low, 10 encoder fault (encoder/cable or binding during reset), St service time. After power-up, 1-2-3 shown in sequence is the normal limit learning; if it persists, check the mechanical installation (leaf guide / tension wheel). Transient jam codes such as o2 need no action as the door keeps working; the displayed code is cleared by holding the P2 (ESCAPE) button for 3 seconds. Parameters must only be changed by trained personnel.
The automatic door does not stop at the closing end and keeps re-learning its limits?
The closing-direction push-force parameter (C4 on the R2 unit) may be set too high, so the door treats the limit point as an obstruction and repeats the learning. Lower C4 by a few units (typically 5 units), then cut and re-apply power so the door re-learns its limits. Parameter values must be changed within the guide range by trained personnel.
