Overview
The r-tec automatic sliding door is an automatic pedestrian access solution offered with an aluminium profile + glass panel combination, in double-leaf 120 + 120 kg or single-leaf 150 kg carrying capacity. The standard chassis supports single-leaf and double-leaf variants; the telescopic chassis provides a wider net transit opening with 4 leaves using the same motor (the leaves hide behind each other). The R2 control unit is used in all applications — dual-supply 230 VAC / 24 VDC, 100 W power, IP23 protection.

Speed and performance
| Door type | Opening speed | Closing speed | Total cycle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single-leaf (150 kg) | 90 cm/s | 63 cm/s (70%) | ~3 s (1 m opening) |
| Double-leaf (120 + 120 kg) | 180 cm/s | 126 cm/s (70%) | ~2 s (1 m opening) |
| Telescopic (4 × 60 kg) | 180 cm/s | 126 cm/s | ~2 s |
The opening speed of 90 cm/s for single-leaf is at the top of its class; with parallel movement on double-leaf, 1 metre opening in under 2 seconds is provided. The 70% closing-speed ratio meets the slow-closing requirement mandated by the EN 60335-2-103 safety standard — the risk of trapping is significantly reduced.
R2 control unit — 23 parameters
The R2 board enables fine tuning to the site with 23 separate parameters. Parameter groups:
- Opening settings (o1-o4) — Opening acceleration distance, opening speed, deceleration distance and push force.
- Closing settings (C1-C5) — Closing acceleration distance, closing speed, deceleration distance, push force and motor pressure after closing.
- Partial opening (o5) — Opening rate when partial mode is active (25% / 50% / 75%).
- Airlock (o6) — Synchronous operation between two consecutive doors.
- Hold-open time (t1) — 0–60 s; separate scenarios for busy hours and quiet hours.
- Electric lock (L1, L2) — Lock operation type and door movement delay after the lock engages.
- Photocell settings (F1, F2, Ft) — Photocell 1/2 active state and external/internal photocell selection.
- Battery and motor direction (b1, r1) — Behaviour on power loss and motor rotation direction.
- Remote control and service (Rf, S1, P1) — Remote mode, service interval and panic exit.
12 fault codes — fast fault detection
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| o1 | Trapped while opening |
| o2 | Trapped while closing |
| o3 | Overcurrent protection |
| o4 | Button fault |
| o5 | Radar fault |
| o6 | Mechanical jam |
| o7 | Battery voltage low |
| o8 | Photocell fault |
| o9 | Mains voltage low |
| 10 | Encoder error |
| 11 | Overcurrent (>5 s) protection |
| St | Service time |
When the service team goes to the site, with the code on the R2 screen they reach the root cause directly — the traditional fuse-check-replace cycle is eliminated.
5 operation modes
Selector switch transitions:
- Hold open — Door continuously open. For keeping the entrance fully open at night or for evacuation scenarios.
- Partial opening — Opening 40-60% (set with parameter P1). Limits air circulation in air-conditioned/heated indoor environments.
- One-way — Activates only the inward or outward safety strip. Used at one-way exit entrances (cinema exit, stadium exit).
- Automatic (standard) — Normal operation triggered by photocell/PIR sensor. Typical daytime operation.
- Hold closed — Door continuously closed, after-hours lock mode.
Certification and conformity
- TÜV AUSTRIA CE 16-PS-0009-TAT-21-MAD-2479 — 2006/42/EC Machinery Safety + 2014/35/EU LVD + 2014/30/EU EMC; EN ISO 12100, EN 60335-2-103, EN 61000-6-1/6-3.
- Domestic Product 20221188100201 — 100% domestic contribution (T.C. SATSO), fully domestic production including motor + control + mechanical components. Qualifies for domestic-product priority in public tenders.
Field discipline
- Rail alignment — In the standard chassis, the rail parallelism must be adjusted to millimetric precision; deviation causes motor thermal protection to trip.
- Sensor positions — PIR + photocell combination; PIR detects long-range approach, the photocell protects against trapping at the door threshold. Both must be active at the same time.
- Safety area — A 50 cm buffer is mandatory in the opening and closing direction; a wall/column/décor element placed in this area creates a trapping risk.
- Glass panel thickness — In indoor applications open to traffic, tempered glass (at least 8 mm) is recommended; safety against falls.
- Periodic maintenance — Every 6 months for heavy use (airport, shopping centre), every 12 months for standard office-store maintenance contract.
Model notes
Motor power and gear selection are calculated according to door mass and rail friction; a detailed sizing table is in the technical PDF. Firmware update via a boot stick is possible on the R2 board — when new safety standards are released, the update is applied by an authorized technician via a boot stick.
