r-tec Single-Leaf Sliding Automatic Door

The single-leaf arrangement is designed for entrances where the passage width can be met by one leaf and pedestrian density is moderate: office side entrances, clinic waiting area passages, internal shop doors. The leaf is carried up to the 150 kg class and runs on a 230 V supply through a 100 W motor with the R2 control board. Where the passage width exceeds the wall length the single leaf can park against, a double leaf is needed; where the side wall allowance is insufficient, a telescopic arrangement. On a single leaf the whole panel gathers to one side, so the wall on that side must stay clear for the full leaf width.

IP23 denotes protection against falling water drops and solid objects above 12.5 mm; it is not sufficient for a facade door exposed directly to rain. Automatic pedestrian doors are therefore placed under a canopy, inside a lobby, or in a sheltered recess at the building entrance. Where the door will be the main external door, a canopy or vestibule should be planned above it. The header housing the motor and control board needs protecting in particular; in a position taking driving rain, the first fault appears on the control side.
