Overview
The ALKUR roll-up high-speed PVC door winds a flexible curtain onto a drum above the opening. Door dimensions, operating speed, traffic frequency and safety equipment are assessed together for forklift and pallet-truck passages. A compact roll-up mechanism still requires the available installation space to be checked.
Construction and technical reference
The roll-up specification describes a 900 g/m² PVC curtain, 80 × 80 mm aluminium side columns and a Ø125 mm drum. A transparent window can be configured on request. The bottom section uses an aluminium profile with an EPDM seal or a curtain arrangement.
The older brochure and technical specification contain different drum and speed values. The numerical speed reference on this page is the roll-up specification; dimensions and equipment for an order are confirmed together in the quotation file.
Selecting the motor and controller
The specification lists 0.65–0.70 m/s without an inverter and up to 1.5 m/s with an inverter. Door width and height inform the motor and controller selection. The brochure lists RAPID 35 / 45 / 75 / 85 / 180 motor options; motor torque or rotational speed alone does not establish the door’s linear opening speed.
The specification states a 380 V three-phase or 230 V single-phase supply. Compatibility between the selected motor, controller and site supply is verified for the project. See the r-tec FU and r-tec I-380 controller pages.
Safety equipment and impact option
The brochure lists the MF/A safety photocell as standard and BREAK OUT/anticrash as optional. The specification includes full-height photocell, optical sensing or safety-photocell options. The sensors and mechanical impact option included in the delivery are confirmed in the quotation for the operating scenario.
BREAK OUT describes the lower section leaving the side columns on impact and returning when the door is fully opened. The safety sensors and impact option are confirmed together for the site use.
Site information for a quotation
The size confirmation form records clear passage width W and height H, headroom, separate side clearances, motor side, curtain colour and window selection. The published roll-up form shows 450 mm headroom, 350 mm on the motor side and 150 mm on the other side; the project is checked against this form and any site obstructions.
Include daily and peak-hour traffic, vehicle and pedestrian use, temperature and humidity, and power supply details. Do not add manufacturing allowances to the form dimensions. The door-opening measurement guide explains the reference points.
The sectional and high-speed PVC comparison covers the selection inputs for both systems. A folding HPVC door is assessed as a separate configuration; opening width alone does not establish a universal model boundary.
Evidence scope and maintenance
The archived TÜV NORD report cover identifies a Type ECO high-speed foil door with an Mtec drive tested on 19 March 2010. Only the first page of report 10 325 380263-001, dated 14 May 2010, is published. It is not used as a current series certificate or a performance result for other HPVC configurations. Maintenance frequency follows the delivered equipment’s instructions and operating conditions. Sales, installation and after-sales requests go through the dealer, distributor or partner responsible for the project.

Share the traffic frequency, environment and operating conditions with the project team. Maintenance follows the product instructions through the installing dealer or authorised technical team.

BREAK OUT bottom impact protection is optional. The specification describes the lower section leaving the side columns on impact and returning when the door is fully opened. This mechanical option and photocells or other safety sensors serve separate functions; confirm which are included in the quotation.
