Product and document scope
PRINCE 400 is a 24 V DC telescopic-arm operator for swing gates. The PRINCE 400 column in the 2019 installation manual lists 120 W, a maximum 3 m leaf length and 400 kg gate weight. The same table gives motor dimensions of 820 × 100 × 110 mm, IP44 and an operating range of −20 °C to +55 °C. The shared 2024 PRINCE 400/600 manual also includes this model column. These values must stay with the matching model label and document revision rather than being applied to another variant.
Motor and control-board scope
The manual presents the motor table and the G24 board data separately. Its two photocell inputs, obstacle-detection function and optional second-motor driver board are control-system details, not necessarily components built into the motor body. Terminals 62/63 in the board drawing are labelled for a 24 V battery. The PDF gives no specific battery capacity, charging behaviour or number of cycles during a power cut.
Selecting the application
Motor power alone does not establish whether the telescopic arm suits a given gate. Check actual leaf length and weight, hinge condition, mounting points and site geometry together. The speed row is printed with the unit m/sec in the manual; we do not silently reinterpret that as another unit or calculate opening time from it. The manual does not provide a fixed list of opening-angle options either.
Installation and service
A qualified technical team should use the instructions for the exact control-board revision when installing the operator and learning limits. These PDFs do not specify a 6–12 month liquid-grease interval or a grease type. Use current manufacturer service instructions matched to the model and revision for periodic maintenance. Confirm capacity and supplied components again for the final proposed set.
