Overview
Full Vision sectional doors are designed for bright interior environments in showrooms and stores, the advantages of aluminium panels in places where water is used such as car washes, and for the entry-exit of large vehicles, equipment + loads. With the combination of aluminium frame + plexiglass infill, uninterrupted indoor-outdoor visual communication is preserved; ideal solution for store displays, car galleries and service reception channels. The standard maximum size is 5,000 × 6,000 mm.

Difference from Industrial + Garage
| Industrial | Garage | Full Vision | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Panel material | Galvanised steel + PU | Galvanised steel + PU | Aluminium + plexiglass |
| Target user | Factory, warehouse | Residential, car park | Showroom, car gallery, car wash |
| Visibility | Closed (insulation) | Closed + plexiglass option | Full visibility (main feature) |
| Water resistance | Standard | Standard | High (car wash water) |
| Cable break safety | Optional | Optional | STANDARD |
| Max. size | (varies in brochure) | 5,000 mm | 5,000 × 6,000 mm |
Single-skin vs Double-skin
| Feature | Single-skin | Double-skin |
|---|---|---|
| Panel structure | Aluminium frame + 3 mm plexiglass | Aluminium frame + two layers of plexiglass + air gap |
| Insulation | Low (like single-glazed window) | Higher (like double-glazed window) |
| Aesthetics | Same — natural anodised or RAL powder | Same |
| Market segment | Showroom (climate tolerant) | Cold-climate showroom + heated car gallery |
→ Showrooms with summer/winter climate condition + heated car gallery = Double-skin; standard indoor = Single-skin.
Structural features
- Aluminium frame — ISO 9001 certified; 1.3 mm wall thickness; 4 profile sizes (100×40, 50×40, 55×40, 147×40 mm) combined according to site.
- 3 mm plexiglass infill — Clear (most transparent), frosted (semi-visibility + aesthetic), acrylic (light diffuser) options.
- Bottom panel recommendation — Sandwich panel (against impact + soiling; rubber residues in car wash). Plexiglass wears on the bottom panel, sandwich is preferred.
- Natural anodised — Standard finish; matte aluminium aesthetics.
- All RAL — Custom colour options with electrostatic powder coating.
- Cable break safety system — STANDARD on Full Vision (optional on garage/industrial); mandatory due to the risk of glass panels falling.
Sealing and water resistance
A seal system designed for car wash compatibility specific to Full Vision:
- Bottom seal — Special hollow rubber geometry; structure that fits into the bottom panel profile (water drainage + sealing together).
- Aluminium top + bottom seal profile — Corrosion-resistant.
- Special joint between panels + sponge seal — Moisture protection at glass panel edges.
- Side + top rubber exterior seal — –30 °C flexible.
- Models above 5,010 mm or with service door — Omega panel support plate for additional strength.
Typical use
- Automotive showroom + plazas — Brand showcase view + premium aesthetics.
- Service reception channels — Customer car reception + indoor movement.
- Car wash facilities — Water + moisture + continuous wash resistance.
- Yacht and machinery showrooms — Large equipment transit + light.
- Art gallery + café + restaurant openable façade — Indoor protection in rainy weather + open atmosphere in sunny weather.
- Swimming pool door + greenhouse — Water vapour + light + climate separation.
- Fire station + ambulance garage — Emergency light transmittance (internal movement visible).
Motor + control
The recommended motor for Full Vision is the r-tec 10024 TCE-C: 380 V three-phase, 100 Nm torque, 24 cm/s opening speed. In premium applications, optional integration with the GIGA Sedo control unit (Sommer Antriebs OEM) with LCD menu + induction loop + traffic light.
→ Details: r-tec GIGA Sedo Control Unit.
Certification and conformity
Same certification set as the Industrial and Garage series:
- CE declaration — Machinery Safety Directive.
- EN 13241-1 quality certificate.
- Domestic Product certificate.
- EAC Eurasian declaration of conformity.
Field discipline
- Track type — Standard / vertical-lift / high-lift is selected according to the site’s beam structure (3 dimension forms downloadable as PDF).
- Maximum size — Standard 5 × 6 m; for larger openings, custom production + additional structural analysis required.
- Pneumatic bottom safety — Soft touch and retract upon obstacle; critical for car protection in car wash facilities.
- Optical safety (light curtain) — Mandatory in showrooms for parallel pedestrian + vehicle movement.
- Plexiglass maintenance — May yellow over the years due to UV; panel replacement recommended every 10-15 years (aluminium frame is permanent).
- Water drainage — Floor slope + drainage channel design in car wash facilities; bottom seal capacity is limited.
Advantages
- Maximum visibility — Showcase effect from the aluminium frame + plexiglass combination.
- Single- and double-skin option — Double-skin at points where thermal insulation is critical.
- Water and moisture resistance — Corrosion-resistant aluminium construction in environments such as car wash.
- Same quality standard — CE, EN 13241-1, Domestic Product and EAC certificates valid for the entire series.
- Cable break safety STANDARD — Unlike other NORMTOR variants, standard equipment on Full Vision.
- ISO 9001 aluminium frame — Industrial-certified material.
Frequently Asked Questions
Below we've compiled the most common questions and answers regarding this product.
What is the largest Full Vision door size you can produce?
The standard maximum size is 5,000 × 6,000 mm, which covers most showrooms, car galleries and service channels. Larger openings can be custom-produced, which then requires additional structural analysis. Sharing your opening width and height lets us plan the correct configuration.
Should I choose single-skin or double-skin?
Single-skin, with its aluminium frame + 3 mm plexiglass structure, suits standard indoor showrooms and behaves like a single-glazed window. Double-skin offers higher insulation similar to a double-glazed window thanks to two layers of plexiglass + an air gap. For showrooms with summer/winter climate differences or heated car galleries, we recommend double-skin.
Which surface and colour options are available for the plexiglass?
The plexiglass infill can be selected as clear (most transparent), frosted (semi-visibility + aesthetic) or acrylic (light diffuser). The aluminium frame comes in natural anodised (matte) as standard, with all RAL colours optional via electrostatic powder coating. You may share a colour matching your corporate identity during the project stage.
Is it suitable for car wash facilities and other constantly wet environments?
Yes, Full Vision is designed with humid environments such as car washes in mind. The special hollow rubber bottom seal combines water drainage and sealing, and the corrosion-resistant aluminium construction suits continuous wash water. We recommend a floor slope and drainage channel design at the facility, as the bottom seal capacity is limited.
Which motor is recommended for automation?
The recommended motor is the r-tec 10024 TCE-C: 380 V three-phase, 100 Nm torque and 24 cm/s opening speed. In premium applications, LCD menu, induction loop and traffic light integration can be added optionally with the GIGA Sedo control unit. If you share your usage intensity, we can define the right motor-control set together.
