Scope of the catalogue
The published 17 June 2015 REV03 specification describes NORMTOR Full Vision for daylight in showrooms and stores, the use of aluminium panels in places such as car washes, and the passage of large vehicles, equipment or cargo. It documents a construction approach; the current drawing and equipment list must be confirmed for the door being offered. Its largest standard size is 5,000 × 6,000 mm.
Panels and transparent infill
The specification describes 40 mm aluminium-framed sections. Their joints and cross-sections resemble sandwich panels, but that does not make the Full Vision panel a sandwich panel. Panel height is not fixed; it is made to suit the door’s width and height. The aluminium profile has a 1.3 mm wall and four listed sections: 100 × 40, 50 × 40, 55 × 40 and 147 × 40 mm.
Windows use 3 mm plexiglass: a single clear or frosted sheet, or acrylic material. The reviewed document gives no double-skin plexiglass, air gap or measured thermal insulation. It recommends, rather than requires, a sandwich panel at the bottom against impact and soiling. Natural anodised aluminium is described, with RAL powder coating as an option.
Tracks, springs and safety
Wheels move on side tracks while steel cables wind around drums. The specification describes standard, vertical and high-lift track layouts; selection depends on the beam and opening dimensions. A 15,000-cycle torsion spring is standard in the document, with 25,000 / 50,000 / 100,000-cycle alternatives. Cable-break protection is standard in this Full Vision specification. The catalogue gives no watertightness class, continuous-wash durability result or drainage capacity for that bottom seal. Water and floor conditions must be assessed for sites such as car washes.
Operation and project selection
The document permits motorised or manual operation and describes size-dependent chain operation for a manual door. A pneumatic bottom safety system is optional; on contact with an obstacle during descent, it can trigger the return movement described in the specification. The Full Vision document does not identify a particular r-tec drive, control board, torque or door opening speed. Those choices require the proposed dimensions, track arrangement, usage and matching model documents.
