Overview

The dock leveler is a hydraulic system that eliminates the level difference between the vehicle and the floor. It enables safe and comfortable movement of forklifts, pallet jacks and other loading vehicles together with workers; speeds up the loading-unloading process. Movement is provided by means of a button-controlled motor, electric hydraulic piston and pump.

NORMDOCK is Turkey’s first domestic CE-certified dock leveler — compliant with the EN 1398 European standard. With 6,000 kg dynamic + 9,000 kg static load capacity, it is the standard solution in logistics, e-commerce, cold storage and production dispatch lines.

Hinged-lip is straightforward in logistics fleets with fixed bed sizes; Telescopic is mandatory in flexible scenarios that require different truck + trailer sizes + a distant load point.

Safety

  • Finger protection — The open-close mechanism does not trap the operator’s hand.

  • Anti-slip platform surface — Teardrop steel plate; the forklift does not slip even on wet/oily sites.
  • Rubber bumper — 75 × 95 × 285 mm rectangular prism, right and left; absorbs vehicle impact shock.
  • Solenoid valve — Safe fixed position during power outage.

  • Should I choose 6 tons or 9 tons?

    The capacity determines the minimum safety limit for the maximum load (forklift + load) that will pass over the leveler. For operations running with standard pallets and light forklifts, 6 tons is usually sufficient; for facilities with heavy forklifts (4-5 ton class + load) or container traffic, the 9-ton class is selected. Sharing the forklift's technical label and daily load profile ensures the correct capacity selection.

  • Single-leaf or three-leaf lip option?

    The lip (end edge) type determines the angle at which the truck trailer sits on the leveler. Single-leaf is sufficient for standard dispatch and operates faster; three-leaf (telescopic lip) allows vehicles of different heights to be aligned across a wide range — preferred in heavy cross-dock operations or container transits.

  • How is the platform size selected?

    The NORMDOCK standard sizes are: 2000 × 2500 mm (compact operation) and 2000 × 3000 mm (long forklift bracket / pallet manoeuvring). A wider platform requires less manoeuvring, a narrower one saves space. If you share the plan view of your dispatch line, we can recommend the suitable size.

  • Is there a Domestic Product Certificate?

    NORMDOCK is Turkey's first domestic CE-certified dock leveler brand. The official Domestic Product Certificate is provided for the domestic contribution rate + domestic-product priority in public tenders; the product label and conformity file are delivered with every shipment.

  • What is the maintenance frequency?

    A full annual maintenance is recommended for hydraulic units and mechanical connections. At facilities with heavy traffic (50+ dispatches per day), a check every 6 months is ideal. A maintenance contract is offered under the TSE Service Competence scope; spare-parts supply is fast through the dealer or central team.
