A component’s origin and a product’s manufacturing contribution are different questions. Design, software, fabrication, assembly and support are separate activities. Domestic production should not be reduced to one component label.
Separate the questions
For a board, ask where the circuit was designed, who developed the software and where it was made. Imported inputs do not erase those activities. A domestic brand name does not automatically prove that they all take place locally.
Supply chains differ. Saying all European brands use the same parts or every importer only warehouses goods does not help assess a product. Import and distribution can contribute stock, technical service and employment, separately from manufacturing.
Read the right evidence
Origin and local contribution need a valid record for the relevant product. ISO management certificates, trademarks and test reports answer different questions. Read product, date and scope on our certificate page. An archived percentage does not extend to every current model.
Our view of production
We value the work learned and experience carried to the next product, as well as the finished item. That is our manufacturing approach, not a measurement of every model’s origin or contribution.
Ask separately about engineering, production and support responsibility in a quotation. We welcome those questions for our own products too. Clear information and concrete records make discussion of domestic production stronger.
