G24 Control Board: Manual Checks and Test Records

Assessing G24 means considering application class, selected motor and board revision together. This article explains the checks covered by the manual and which production-test details require separate records.

Universal board, universal responsibility

The G24 universal control board manual describes application classes for suitable 24 V DC motors: sliding gates, swing gates, barriers and sectional doors. Pages 4–5 describe motor-type selection with BT2, LED indication, DIP switches and trimpots; page 5 mentions a fast KING-series mode. They do not provide a complete KING, Couper and Prince model-compatibility list. The exact motor, board revision and modules must be checked before commissioning; an application class is not a universal compatibility promise.

Manual checks and production tests

The G24 manual describes opening, closing, limits, photocell inputs and settings for the selected configuration. Button, LED, DIP-switch and trimmer adjustments are matched to the board revision.

The manual does not show the scope or results of individual production-line tests. Those require separate production records. A fixed number of tested motors or recorded current thresholds cannot be inferred from the manual either.

Keep the installation details

Recording the motor model, board revision and commissioning settings gives the service team a clear starting point. It helps them investigate whether a behaviour comes from the gate mechanics, wiring or settings. For a recurring issue, share these records and the observed symptoms with the installation team.
