The r-tec EV Charger family — two models that address the needs of electric vehicle infrastructure in estate, plaza, villa and commercial car park applications — were positioned under the r-tec brand in 2024. It is the form in which our 30 years of door + automation experience has been carried into electric vehicle infrastructure.
A new category, a familiar supplier: our barrier and automatic door dealer network is at the same time the EV charger supplier.
Two models — clear selection
WCU-22 Wallbox — fixed installation
The manual rates this wall-mounted unit up to 22 kW at 400 V three-phase and 32 A. It specifies a Type 2 vehicle connection and IP54 rating.
| Feature | Manual value |
|---|---|
| Maximum power | 22 kW (400 V three-phase, 32 A) |
| Installation | Fixed wall mount; 1.00–1.45 m mounting height |
| Residual-current protection | None inside the unit; external 30 mA RCD required in the panel |
A full-charge time cannot be stated without the vehicle’s onboard charger rating and battery conditions.
WCU-11 Portable
The manual’s specification table gives up to 11 kW at 400 V three-phase and 16 A. It also lists 220 V single-phase input but no separate charging-power value for it.
| Feature | Manual value |
|---|---|
| Maximum power | 11 kW (400 V three-phase, 16 A) |
| Vehicle connection | 5 m Type 2 cable |
| Residual-current protection | None inside the unit; external 30 mA RCD required in the panel |
Confirm the plug and adapter variant for the ordered model. The WCU-11 manual conflicts with itself: its specification table says 11 kW, while the installation-table heading says 22 kW. Cable and breaker selection therefore needs current manufacturer confirmation.
Which model for which scenario?
- Permanent, designed supply point: consider WCU-22 Wallbox.
- Portability between suitable supply points: consider WCU-11 Portable.
- Multiple charging points: plan the total load and requested management features against the documented device configuration.
Check vehicle compatibility, wiring and external residual-current protection in every case.
Entrance control and EV charging on one project
A barrier, gate automation and WCU-22 can be part of the same car-park project. Design the charger’s supply circuit and protection separately from gate motors and their controllers. The WCU manuals do not support claims of shared G24 electronics, one installation team or a common spare-parts system. Match each product to its own manual and the site’s electrical design.
Place in the range
EV charging is a separate r-tec group. WCU-22 and WCU-11 are assessed through their own manuals. Current barriers are FRIG 4000–5000/6000–7000 and TROYA 4000–5000/6000–7000; sharing a project with a charger does not establish shared electronics or installation competence.
Information and ordering

Claim supported: PDF pp.6/8: WCU11 maximum 11 kW, 400 V three-phase/16 A, 5 m Type 2 cable, IP54 and external 30 mA protection. The 22 kW heading on p.9 conflicts; it does not establish cable/breaker sizing or single-phase 11 kW.
