The weakest moment of a dispatch dock is that open gap between the trailer doors and the building: heat escapes through it in winter, warmth pours in through it in summer, and dust and pests find their invitation there. The NORMDOCK dock shelter is the product of exactly that gap — it embraces the vehicle’s trailer and turns the loading zone into a semi-enclosed buffer.
The fabric: Cloth that speaks in standards
The shelter’s character is defined by its fabric. The NORMDOCK fabric is specified by three German DIN standards — DIN 53352, 53356 and 75200 — with 3 mm thickness, 900 gr/m² density and 1,100 DTEX yarn value. The field meaning of the numbers is endurance: 2,188 N tear strength and 2,300 N/5 cm breaking resistance are not comfort but necessity for a material a trailer corner scrapes against at every docking. Its anti-static, stain-resistant structure lets it work comfortably on the HACCP/GMP hygiene-controlled lines of food, pharmaceutical and beverage facilities.
Frame and dimensions
The fabric is carried on a hot-dip galvanized steel frame with aluminium outer profiles. The standard size is 3,400 × 3,450 × 620 mm; production up to 4,200 × 4,500 × 1,000 mm is possible for special projects. Intermediate sizes are handled per project — trailer circumference and site frame dimensions are evaluated together at the quotation stage.
