What Domestic Manufacturing Means: Not a Slogan, an Engineering Investment

“Domestic manufacturing” is one of those phrases worn thin by overuse. It looks good on a label and draws applause in a speech; on its own, it answers no technical question. For us, the phrase gains its meaning the moment a certificate is pinned next to it.
The story of two firsts
Two of our products are the proof of that sentence. The NORMDOCK dock leveler is Turkey’s first domestically produced CE-certified dock leveler — compliant with the EN 1398 European standard. ALKUR HPVC opened the same road on the door side as Turkey’s first domestically produced TÜV-certified high-speed PVC door.
The weight of the word “first” here is this: when these certificates were being obtained, there was no domestic precedent to follow. Test protocols, technical files, audits — all of it was walked for the first time by a domestic manufacturer, inside a system calibrated to imported products. Domestic manufacturing stops being a slogan at that point; it becomes the courage to lay your own product on Europe’s test bench.
Who is the certificate for?
For a contractor entering a public tender, the Domestic Goods Certificate is a concrete advantage — domestic production carries formal weight in priority evaluations. But the certificate’s real addressee is daily operation: the CE mark is the safety assurance of the forklift operator who crosses that leveler every day; the TÜV certificate is independent confirmation that the door will behave the same across thousands of cycles.
The invisible return of domestic
There is also the matter of distance. Manufacturing in Hendek means a technical question can be asked of the manufacturer in your own language, a spare part arrives without crossing an ocean, and a custom dimension can be discussed directly with the factory. The flexibility that ends at the catalogue with an imported product begins at the production line with a domestic one.
Domestic manufacturing can be a reason to choose; but we would rather the choice be made on files, not feelings. You can review our certificates on the certificates page and request a quotation for your project.
