There are two moments when automation gets talked about in a facility: the day it is installed and the day it breaks down. The years in between — thousands of silent openings, doors that see an obstacle and stop, vehicles counted — are the years nobody discusses. Those undiscussed years are precisely what we design.

The cost of noticeable automation

Now picture the opposite: a barrier that rattles on every lift, a door that detects obstacles late, a detector that counts some vehicles and misses others. Noticeable automation is the kind that gets announced on the radio, written into the shift log, and turned into a service call. Every unit of visibility is a minute stolen from the operation.

That is why the quality of automation is measured not in a showy feature list but in the uneventfulness of an ordinary Tuesday.
